Suzhou High-tech District Zhenhu Suzhou Embroidery Culture Industry Demonstration Base covers an area of 68,000 m², bringing together 439 embroidery enterprises and employing approximately 12,000 people (of which about 8,000 people engage in embroidery and about 4,000 people are auxiliary employees of embroidery industry). In 2012, the output value reached 1.194 billion yuan and is a national key cultural industry demonstration base.

Suzhou Hi-tech District Zhenhu Street is responsible for the implementation and management of Suzhou Embroidery Cultural Industry Park. Over ten years, a 1700m long embroidery street was built in1998, with more than400 shops on both sides. Among them, the embroidery stores and supporting stores accounted for more than 90%, which not only boosts the development of Zhenhu embroidery industry, but also promotes the cluster development of main types of embroidery industry. The embroidery cultural industry of Zhenhu gathers in the main blocks, and the town characteristics featured by culture style and connotation has been built with Embroidery Street as the “backbone”. Second, the Chinese Embroidery Art Gallery covering an area of 8000m² and focusing on the exhibition and heritage was built, 43 creative embroidery workshops and “Zhenhu Embroidery Art Exhibition Center” were constructed. Currently, 38 embroidery workshops or companies, including 8 master embroidery workshops have settled in “Zhenhu Embroidery Art Exhibition Center”. It not initially sets up the comprehensive system of personnel training and service system of intellectual property rights. Through China Embroidery Art Gallery and Zhenhu Embroidery Art Exhibition center, Zhenhu Street has carried out systematic, forward-looking and recurring activities in terms of embroidery technology R & D, cultural exchange, talent cultivation, work exhibition and evaluation, thus conducting in-depth cultural, art and technical mining of Zhenhu embroidery. By a decade’s efforts, the park has 38 senior artists, more than 100 preliminary and middle crafts artists. The studios, embroidery workshops and companies and their works in the park are promoted to the outer world via website. A batch of service platforms including Suzhou embroidery copyright tradable permits service have been established by the cooperation between the park and Suzhou Intellectual Property Bureau.
